International Glaciological Society

"We have just recently transferred all of our banking to Bank of Scotland after having been with another bank for a few decades,"
explains Magnús Már Magnússon, Secretary General of the International Glaciological Society.
"From the start we received friendly and personal attention from all the various sections we have had dealings with as we are setting up the various parts of the banking operation.
"But most importantly, it was the attentive nature and helpfulness of our personal manager that really made us feel welcome. Our personal manager is always willing to sort out our queries, we do not get shuffled off to another department. If there is a query or a problem, she takes care of it and does all the necessary arrangements, bringing in the relevant people to help at the appropriate point in time.
"We have a direct access to her, and on the rare occasions we have to leave a message she gets back to us very quickly. We do not have to go through a call centre and we have e-mail access to everyone we have dealings with at the Bank.
"In short, the transition to Bank of Scotland has been a very smooth one and we have been made welcome and been able to proceed at our own pace. The help and assistance has been available where and when we have needed it. We feel that in changing to Bank of Scotland we have added an important team member to the International Glaciological Society."
